We are very excited to have been showcased in a commemorative royal book highlighting some of the UK’s most forward-thinking organisations, featuring in a double-page spread in King Charles III: The Leadership and Vision of a Modern Monarch, by royal author Robert Jobson.
The dedicated spread tells the story of our passions for creating a sustainable built environment, sharing our unorthodox approach to working with companies such as United Utilities and Skanska Costain STRABAG JV (the London tunnels contractor for HS2) to demonstrate the benefits of 3D printed infrastructure, or ‘Printfrastructure’.
In publishing the book, world-renowned publisher St James’s House took King Charles III’s 75th Birthday as the opportunity to launch the beautifully illustrated showcase. It reflects on the ideas King Charles III has championed throughout his life and delves into how he intends to shape the monarchy of tomorrow, highlighting the work of selected organisations.
ChangeMaker 3D was selected for the team’s strong approach to environmental and social sustainability.
Co-founders Natalie and Luke Wadley were among 400 attending guests and members of the press to be invited to the launch at Claridge’s in November.
Natalie said: “It’s a true honour to be featured as one of 75 organisations representing the forward-thinking, sustainable values that the monarchy is advocating for the future of the UK. As innovators and disruptors, we are encouraging the construction sector to print like our planet depends on it.
“This gives important profile to an innovative technology that has the potential to deliver green growth for the rail industry. We are proving that 3D printing brings benefits in terms of greener infrastructure”.
